This session is a live in-person guided meditation. Perfect for those who struggle with meditating at home with audio recordings. Being in person with me as I guide you through being present with your body can provide opportunity for transformative healing as you get to know yourself in a new way. Clients that come in with severe anxiety leave feeling deep peace and completely settled in their body. I hear from clients that this sense of peace last for days following. I can show you simple tools to get yourself to a place of comfort and ease no matter how "bad" you think you are at mediating. Meditation really is for everyone as there are so many different ways to reach a meditative state. Why meditate? Meditation activates the parasympathetic nervous system which calms the mind and stimulates the body's natural ability to heal itself. When you live in a state of stress, the mind and body are unable to rest and heal. With excessive stress sleep is disrupted, immune system is weakened, the body fatigues, the mind is filled with chatter, this all comes together to cook up the perfect storm for illness. Stress is a positive thing in the short term to get you out of danger, but in the long term it causes strain on the nervous system and leads to mental/physical disease. Meditation brings you back into your body so you can become relaxed and further develop your self awareness. Your ability to make wise conscious choices strengthens and the body's natural ability to heal itself activates. What does guided meditation entail? During our time together we will discuss your goals and I will lead you through the practice of breath control and visualization. You will learn how to focus your mind and use the breath to release undesirable feelings to achieve a state of peace and clarity.
