Restorative Yoga
Service Description
In restorative yoga, props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks are used to fully support the body, minimizing muscular effort. This physical ease signals safety to the nervous system, activating the parasympathetic response—often referred to as “rest and digest.” Over time, this state supports relaxation, digestion, immune function, and overall resilience. About Lynne Pike: During the winter of 2013, I was seeking connection and something to counter the dark, cold, and often dreary months in Central New York. In that search for warmth and community, I discovered yoga and was immediately drawn to the practice. As a yoga instructor, my intention is to create a space where nerves and anxiety give way to a serene sense of belonging. I celebrate each individual’s journey and growth as we practice together. Yoga, to me, is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and be fully present in our bodies—honoring whatever is unfolding within us, exactly as we are. 200 E-RYT Kripalu based training in Hatha Yoga 40 hr Restorative Therapeutic Training, The Art of Conscious Relaxation with Jillian Pransky 20 hr Kurunta Yoga Certification at the Great Yoga Wall® 18 hr Pranayama Teacher Training Reiki Master Usui Tradition
