Meet Karen
Founder & Practitioner at Anahata Healing Center
Karen April, LMT, CYT, Reiki Practitioner & Shamanic Practitioner is the founder of Anahata Healing Center. Anahata was created to support people in reconnecting with their bodies, their energy, and the wisdom held within. Karen spent years envisioning a healing center where multiple practitioners could bring their unique gifts and specialities together to support the community all under one roof.
Karen’s work is rooted in the belief that healing is deeply personal. There is no single path that works for everyone, and sometimes the first step is simply having a space to slow down and be witnessed.
With a refined and intuitive touch, Karen brings together therapeutic bodywork, yoga, Reiki, breath, spiritual mentorship, and Shamanic healing to create individualized experiences for each client.
Her massage practice draws from a diverse range of techniques, including Thai Massage, Swedish Massage, Neuromuscular massage, and Assisted Stretch.
For those seeking deeper energetic or spiritual work, Karen offers Shamanic Illuminations to release energetic imprints and restore a greater sense of balance and vitality.
Karen also offers spiritual mentorship, a space to explore patterns, intentions, life transitions, and the deeper questions that arise along the path of personal growth.​
Her Training & Continued Study
Karen graduated from the Cincinnati School of Medical Massage in 2017 and completed 250 hours of Yoga Teacher Training in 2018. She became Reiki certified in 2019 and has continued her education in neuromuscular massage therapy, Thai massage and bodywork, energy healing, and Shamanic practices.
Her work continues to evolve through both formal education and years of hands-on experience, personal practice, and devotion to the healing arts.
At the heart of it all, Karen believes that healing happens when we create enough space to listen to the body and the heart, where the wisdom of spirit can be found.
